The Thanks-Giving Mindset

Thanksgiving- The forgotten holiday. It comes between two of the most commercially hyped holidays, Halloween, and Christmas, and has been attached to Black Friday, a non-holiday shopping event. And for all three of these holidays the meaning is largely ignored. I didn’t want to just write the usual obligatory holiday article so I’ve decided make this about mindset. I intentionally made it two words because it's not really about the holiday. It's about the act of being thankful.

So what is the Thanks Giving Mindset? The name says it all. It’s about being thankful for what you have, for being alive, for anything in your life. This mindset is not just for one day a year. It’s not about the holiday. It’s about being thankful for something that we all have all the time- the ability to choose who and what we are. It’s about having the ability to choose to succeed at whatever we choose to do.

Everyone, no matter what life has handed them, has something to be thankful for and has the ability to change and improve their lives. We must choose to be thankful and choose to take the steps necessary to move onward and upward. These are the necessities in gaining financial momentum and momentum in your life.

By the time you read this the holiday will be over. But the mindset can last forever if you make the decision to keep it. It’s a good decision to make. It’s a good mindset. While it can be easy to neglect it takes very little effort to maintain.
